Wednesday August 17 Stock Market Forecast:
The Stock Market has touched a first level of support with the three digit decline Tuesday. Typically, Tuesday's can be contra-days where the results can be either the beginning of a trend or simply a fake-out day to get Investors to dump stock. However, observing that the trend has turned lower once again after having been stagnant for several days, there is more downside potential to a more solid DJIA support area of 10,400. Also, with futures and stock options due to expire the end of this week, expect more volatility.

Tuesday August 16 Stock Market Forecast:
The Stock Market had a high volume reversal, closing lower on August 10. Since that event, the volume and price movement has virtually dried up. Monday's action provided a bounce back from Friday of 34 points or a Fibonacci 40% retracement. So the dogs days of Summer are here and many of the market participants are on vacation. Tuesday should see more sideways movement as the trend and momentum remain stuck in neutral.

Monday August 15th Stock Market Forecast:
The Stock Market has serious inconsistencies. The Nasdaq, OEX and SPX had false breakouts earlier in the year, July 14 for Nasdaq and March 7 for OEX and SPX. Nasdaq is now trading below its breakout. OEX has never recovered and SPX is only 5 points higher. DJIA also had a false breakout on March 7 and is now 337 points lower. Several non-confirmations of internal strength registered when the DJIA was 10,705.55 on July 28, recently. While many investment pundits are suggesting new highs are forthcoming, this may become hard to achieve because at this time the Stock Market does not have speculative fever and substantial accumulation that can support such a dynamic move. There are only 14 Dow 30 stocks holding up the DJIA. Should this number slip during Monday's performance, more downside action can be assured as Investor's move to cash.
